We are a father, daughter and son dentistry team based in La Mesa. Our patients appreciate the warm family feeling and attention we provide to each of our patients. Dr. Karl F. Wehrle
Dr. Wehrle’s passion for helping others led to his long career in dentistry. He graduated with many honors, ranking #1 in his dental school class from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1975. USC prepared him with the skills to provide patients with high quality healthcare. He brings a comprehensive care approach to dentistry in order to find comfortable and effective solutions for everyone’s dental needs. For over ten years, he was a volunteer faculty member at the U.C. San Diego student run free dental clinic serving the homeless and veterans. He is currently on the faculty at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC while he continues his dental practice with his daughter, Kristin, and son, Stephen.
Dr. Kristin M. Wehrle
Dr. Kristin Wehrle's interest for dentistry began in high school while volunteering at the UC San Diego student run free dental clinic. As an undergraduate at UC San Diego, Kristin participated in CDA Cares events which are sponsored by the California Dental Association to provide free dental care to people in need. Kristin also volunteered with the Global Dental Brigades on a humanitarian dental mission to Panama. She was greatly impacted by the patients there who were so grateful for her kindness and care. Kristin graduated with the highest Latin honors, Summa Cum Laude, from Revelle College at UC San Diego. Kristin attended the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC and graduated with dean's list high honors. Currently she teaches part-time at the USC dental school and practices dentistry with her father in private practice.
Dr. Stephen K. Wehrle
Dr. Stephen Wehrle’s interest in dentistry began with his volunteer work at the UC San Diego student run free dental clinic in Pacific Beach. He furthered his interest in dentistry by working with the Global Dental Brigade outreach programs. Dr. Stephen graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of the University of Southern California. It was in this program that Stephen continued his passion for serving the underserved through various community outreach programs in the surrounding Los Angeles area. He began the doctoral program at Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry after completing the dental hygiene program. Dr. Stephen graduated with his doctorate degree from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of the University of Southern California in 2021. He has continued his passion for motivating his patients to improve their oral health along with their overall health by joining his father and sister in their Wehrle family dental practice.
